Eight hours a day or more, five days a week or more. Yes, you have the right to be bored. It’s totally normal. So, what to do? Check out these simple tips: 1.A little visit Visit your colleague’s desk for two or three minutes, chat a bit to fresh you up—or maybe fresh him/her up as well. 2.Enjoying a game For some people, a game can be a lot of fun! Yet, make sure you don’t get addicted and forget doing your tasks. 3.Browsing on the net Simply check your personal e-mail or some interesting sites. Just don’t get carried away and forget about your job. 4.Chatting For those who can access some chatting rooms, why don’t you use it to help you feel more spirited? Chat with a friend or two for 10-15 minutes, soon you’ll be ready to do the tasks. 5.Reading You can spend 5-10 minutes reading a book, newspaper or magazine. Not only it helps get rid of your boredom, but you can also get information and have fun at the same time. 6.Calling a friend Just take 3-5 minutes to call a friend, your husband/wife or children. You’ll feel more energized afterwards. 7.Listening to the music This can help you get relaxed. Some genres of music can even make you feel more enthusiastic. 8.Get yourself a drink Make or buy one yourself. Coffee or tea would be great. You’d get the chance to move your body and to enjoy a lip smacking drink. 9.Go to the restroom Wash your face with cold water. Stay there for a while. Take a moment to think about what to do with the boring job. You’ll be getting out of the restroom feeling a lot fresher. 10.Change your routines If normally you do easier task first then the harder ones, why don’t you reverse it? Or, if after arriving at the office, habitually you go straight to doing the job, now, why don’t you start by checking e-mails or reading newspaper? Don’t let boredom avoid you from getting promoted and from your being successful.
