How To Start Selling On Clickbank

Submitted by: Pawel Reszka

Do you have a digital product or service that you are looking to market? Would you like to know that your marketing dollars will always produce sales for you? ClickBank could be the answer. With ClickBank your marketing dollars are never wasted because you only pay when there is a sale.

When you join ClickBank you have the power of a high traffic marketplace with a vast group of affiliates ready to help you promote your site. With an array of payment options, easy check out and customer service that continues to insure satisfaction well after the sale, your customers will find their shopping experience highly enjoyable, promoting return customers and plenty of word of mouth advertising. Although ClickBank cannot help you with the set up or design of your website when you browse their website you will find links to resources that can be helpful.

Becoming a ClickBank Publisher is simple and involves only a few steps. First sign up, this involves giving ClickBank your basic contact information such as name and address (for payments), phone, email and website address. Consent to ClickBank selling your products or services. You will have to make sure you have a promotional web site that showcases your product or service. Keep in mind that this site will be the basis for deciding whether or not to promote or buy your product or service when visited by potential affiliates and customers. You will need to have a delivery page and it will be up to you to make sure all of your products and/or services are delivered and technical support is provided for your customers via email addresses and/or phone numbers. You can sell up to 500 different products with a single account, just have a separate Thank You page for each product and matching numbers in the payment links.

Once you are registered you can submit your product/service to ClickBank for approval at which time they will let you know the maximum acceptable retail price and then you can give them your recommended retail price. Most retail prices are at or below $50.00. You will be paid a wholesale price of 92.5% of the agreed upon retail price minus one dollar. For services or products that would have returning buyers and have a sale price of under $40 the wholesale price would be 90.1% or the agreed upon retail price.

Of course, as with any business, there are charges that you would incur some of which are an activation fee of $49.95, which is only charged one time when your first product is accepted and a check-processing fee of $2.50, which is charged each time ClickBank, cuts you a check.

There are no monthly charges but there are charges involved when there is a return that ClickBank has approved (debited from both the Publisher and the affiliate) or a revoked sale (one where a bank disputes the sale), or an account becomes dormant. Dormant accounts are those that have a balance but show no activity for 90 days or more.

The amount of money that you are paid for your product/service remains the same regardless of the amount of commission paid to the affiliate.
