Luxury Hotels At The City Of The Great Lakes

Michigan has had a steady flow of tourists because of its proximity to the Great Lakes. As such, there are several top hotels in the area that can provide comfortable accommodations for tourists.Michigan is a state in the Midwest famous for its proximity to the Great Lakes. There are several people who visit the state every year. To provide comfortable lodgings for these tourists, Michigan has several good hotels that can give luxury and comfort to any traveler.

The Detroit Marriott Hotel is located in 300 w. Big Beaver Road in Troy Michigan, only a couple of minutes away from downtown Detroit. This three star hotel is an ideal venue for exhibits, conventions and meetings with an area of over 6,000 square feet for private gatherings.

The Detroit Marriott preserves the Marriott chains’ standards with its spacious and luxurious rooms, namely 345 deluxe guest rooms and 5 luxury suites. The hotel also has wireless Internet available in all its public and meeting areas, while the guest rooms are wired for Internet access. The hotel also has a special Wired-to-Business package for its’ guests that includes high speed internet as well as unlimited local and domestic long distance calls for a daily rate.

For those looking for an exotic twist in their hotel experience, the Atheneum Hotel in 1000 Brush Avenue Detroit is a good choice. Located at the midst of the Greektown Dining and Entertainment District, the Atheneum greets first time visitors with its Greek-style statues in the lobby. Aside from its 174 suites inspired by Modern Greek design, the hotel also has 23,000 feet of meeting space for business or private affairs.

The Atheneum offers a distinct New Orleans flavor with the Cajun cooking served at its restaurant, Fishbone’s Rhythm Kitchen Café. The hotel is also near several tourist attractions in the area, it is walking distance from the Greektown Casino and the Cobo Hall Convention Center, it is also a couple of minutes away from the Tigers baseball stadium and Detroit’s Theater District.

For those going to other parts of Michigan, like Kalamazoo, there are also hotels that will cater to their needs. The Radisson Plaza Hotel is a part of the Radisson chain of hotels. Other top hotels in Michigan are the Westin Hotel, which is actually located inside the Midfield Terminal of the Detroit Metro Airport, the Grand Hotel in Mackinac Island, the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, the Omni Detroit Hotel in River Place, the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn and the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.
