Spirituality Information - Journey In The Fields Of Forever ( Part 27 )

Submitted by: John Harricharan

In the middle of my contemplation, a friend called and asked if I could help with a problem she was having with her computer. I am not a computer expert and only employ them as useful tools in my work. My computer knowledge is probably more instinctive and intuitive than technical. I quickly agreed to help and before long, I was engrossed in following the paths of electrons as they danced through computer circuitry and translated themselves, byte by byte, into meaningful messages on the screen.

Working on the computer took my mind away from my problems. Breaking focus with my problems was exactly what I needed. There’s an old saying that “what you focus on expands.” When I was done, I felt refreshed and promised myself not to get overwhelmed by my problems for the rest of the day. At bedtime, though, I reflected again on the Ambrose Stone. What an absurd idea, I thought, everyone knows that there’s no such thing as an Ambrose Stone. Crazy childhood fantasies, I thought as I drifted off to sleep.

I was up early the next morning, and quickly found myself at the kitchen table nursing a freshly brewed cup of coffee. And then I remembered. I needed to make an urgent phone call. I don’t know where the thought came from, but it seemed to have been there when I woke up this morning. Though it was still early, I followed that “still, small voice” and phoned anyway.

I called an old acquaintance whom I hadn’t spoken with in years, but he seemed to have been expecting my call.During our short discussion, I received some very important information, which helped me to solve some of the problems that were troubling me yesterday. This was going to be a great day!

I leaned back in my chair and smiled. It was then that I heard a voice say, “You stand at the center of your universe. You have one foot planted in yesterday and the other in tomorrow. There is no need for magic stones or strange rituals. Those are only crutches. They do work temporarily, but they’re not necessary if you know what to do. You can return to tomorrow anytime you want since tomorrow and yesterday revolve around today. The music is not in the piano, the music is in you. The magic is not in the stone; the magic is in you.”

I got up from the kitchen table and walked toward my office. I turned around to find the source of the voice but saw no one. Shaking my head I said, “I must be thinking out loud . . . too loud.”
