What Real Men Want

You’ve probably noticed that it’s easy to get into a few dates with some men, but it’s next to impossible to get them to sit down and discuss a deeper relationship with you. It would seem that these men are only in the dating game for the initial fun of it, but move on once the fun is over. When this happens, it’s real easy to sum it all up in six words: “Men don’t know what they want.”

This is partly true, since weak, immature men (better known as “boys”) do lose interest as soon as something they can’t handle – such as a deeper, more emotional relationship with you – comes into the open. Of course, this is a good thing – who’d want to live a lifetime with such men?

On the other hand, Real Men (capitalized for emphasis) do exist, and they may unwittingly pass you over if you think they don’t know what they want. That’s a scary thought – who’d want to accidentally let go of someone who would’ve made a good lifelong companion?

To keep this from happening, you’ll have to be familiar with what Real Men want. When you are, you’ll be more open to let more of the Real Men and fewer of the boys into your life.

1) Real Men Want Fun.

If all you do is talk throughout your relationship, chances are a Real Man wouldn’t find you attractive. At least not as attractive as someone who plays pool and table tennis with them, or someone who teases them playfully every now and then. Men love humor, and if you want them to like you better, you’d better have a good sense of it.

2) Real Men Go For Independent Women.

Many women believe the misconception that men prefer “weak” women, since it would make them look and feel more “macho.” This is only true for boys – Real Men prefer independent women who can find time for an good, emotional relationship despite a hectic day schedule. Such women motivate them to do even better in their own lives – and if the man is a Real Man, he’ll love the challenge and not shirk from it.

3) Real Men Love Mature Women.

Real Men have gone through their fair share of overly sensitive women, who tend to turn petty issues into something that could end the world. Needless to say, Real Men know that dealing with such women is a waste of time, and would much rather spend their time (and lives) with someone with the ability to see things more objectively.

4) Real Men Go For Women They Find Attractive.

Take note that there are two types of attraction: physical and emotional. Everyone has a measure of physical attraction, and it’s the easiest and most straightforward way to gain a man’s attention. Keeping his attention indefinitely is a bit trickier, and it needs a good dose of emotional attraction. If you find it easy to talk with him on a “feelings” level, and if he doesn’t hold back from discussing a deeper relationship with you, then it’s a sign of a good emotional connection.

You may not have all the qualities listed above, but they can be developed. If you take the time to remedy the areas in your attitude that need improvement, you’ll be opening up to Real Men soon enough.
